Township Meeting to Plan Schoolhouse Park
The West Vincent Township EAC and the Park and Recreation Commission will met at the park property adjacent to the Birchrunville Schoolhouse to discuss plans for the new township park.
This meeting was open to the
public. At the meeting it was suggested that many of the pine trees that were planted to screen the sheds in the 1990s be removed. Now that the sheds are gone, the trees are no
longer necessary. Furthermore, the growth of the trees has eliminated the views of the Birch Run Valley that existed previously.
The township will solicit a bid to have this work completed in the Fall of 2014.

The park property was purchased by West Vincent Township in early 2014 after a development plan for the property was withdrawn.
The HBNA legal defense was a key factor in convincing the developer to withdraw the plan and sell to property to the township.
